In the US my beloved Graywolf Press has bought the book and will publish it in 2020 or 2021. Each story draws one in immediately and there is always a small shock, either of elements of the story, plot, characterization or, simply, of recognition. Writer Dorthe Nors found herself translating these novels before going on to publish her own work—fiction which is playful and dark in turn. But where Scandinavian crime fiction employs psychological strategy to probe a wide range of human depravity within the genre, Nors in no way conforms to this or any other literary standard.

In 2010 I published “Dage” ( Days ); a novella, and after Nors is a Danish writer who has had some buzz, mostly around her short story collection Karate Chop, and honestly any accolades and praise is well deserved.
